Looking forward to the Mini+ arriving next week. Despite owning a , and , the option of having a truly portable device is really appealing. I might actually get around to putting some time into games like , and !

@Darren
Perhaps the time to say goodbye to my hacked 3ds has arrived?
The price is appealing too.

@norav Look up an app named Temu. It looks like they give you a discount code which takes 50% off, with a maximum of £30, if you order within an hour of installing the app. I managed to get mine for under £42 delivered, which is pretty great!

@Darren yeah I heard about Temu, usually I don't shop in apps like it (wish, Alibaba ect). Here in Europe are pretty scummy, but if I find a good deal I sure will take it. :ablobcatwave:

@Darren I don't want to be nitpicky, but is that a better investment than a Backbone controller for your smarphone, combined with an emulation software like Lemuroid?

I mean I also have Switch and Deck, but in the end, there's nothing more portable than a smartphone.

@jakub_neruda Yep, adding a backbone controller is just messy for me. On top of that i have an iPhone 11 which doesn’t have the greatest battery so I’d rather keep my gaming to a separate device really.

@Darren Fair point. I pivoted towards phone because Deck is quite humongous and I kinda fear someone will rob me on tram to work. And even though I have a faily old phone, anything up to PSX (inclusive) worka like a charm, so I figured theres no point buying yet another gaming device (and I didn't go for Backbone, I bought way cheaper controller which works well enough).

@Darren I got one a few months ago and I love it! My one big complaint is the poor sound, but even that's a fair compromise. Finally playing through Earthbound Zero on it!

@TheShubbruno Good to hear (no pun intended)! I did read about a speaker fix/upgrade but I’m not sure I’ll play with sound on, or at least at a level which would make me want to fix it up.

@Darren Oh! I have not heard about the upgrade but I'll definitely look into it. Lower volume does help though.
