We've been looking at replacing our monitored security system with something self-monitored. My partner isn't convinced of the Aqara system so I'm trying to find a reasonable alternate.
List of demands:
Homekit compatible
integration
Hardwired keypad/hub
No PoE devices

Any suggestions?

@actinic I have a Honeywell Vista 20P panel with an Envisalink to access it remotely through a HomeAssistant integration. You can add hardwired sensors, wired loop keypads, wired loop sensors, and wireless sensors with an add-on radio module. The Envisalink acts as just another keypad on the loop.

You might be able to move most of your existing sensors to it.

@targetdrone This system looks great! How happy would you say you are with it? Any regrets or things you would have done differently if you were just starting with it?

@actinic About 5 years ago I replaced my original 30 year old Vista XM with the Vista 20P. Dropped right in, works flawlessly. Replaced the original keypad with an RFID keypad. The wired reed and IR sensors are all original, and still work great. I wired them all myself, no installation cost.

The Envisalink made it way better when I configured HA geofencing to arm/disarm it when we leave/arrive, so now we never even think about it. HA also notifies us of alarm events.

I'm *very* happy with it.
