Just a note to any #WebDev people out there, PLEASE make both light and dark modes for your websites. I'm so tired of having to turn the brightness down on my computer just so I don't get a headache from staring at a glaringly white screen. It's such a basic form of accessibility and I know there are browser extensions like Dark Reader but those don't always work well depending on the website. Thanks
@essiparadox haha I do this for myself because I prefer dark mode. It’s always intensely weird when I view my sites in light mode.
That said the older Pinout website of mine has not had a dark mode overhaul yet
@gadgetoid Yeah I use the Stylus extension for some websites and have been slowly trying to learn CSS so I can just change the look of things myself
@essiparadox what you are saying is "make a dark mode", not "make both light and dark modes".
@davidsneighbour Yes, for my personal comfort I would prefer more websites have a dark mode. But I am asking for both to give people the option. I don't think websites should only have a dark mode either, even though it would be preferable for me. Some people have trouble with dark mode and they deserve to have a good experience too.
@essiparadox I found it way too hard to maintain dark/light modes because I always prefer one or the other and bugs slither into the non-loved mode if not checked often enough. So now it's just dark mode for me :)
