I have a six-year-old niece who LOVES the horror genre. She's right there with MatPat in terms of her knowledge of the lore from games like Poppy Playtime & #FNAF.
She crafted a Poppy Playtime grab pack at school. One for me, one for her.
A moment ago, she requested I play #PoppyPlaytime on her behalf. I'm almost done with Chapter 1. She loves it when I'm panicking and getting jump-scared by #huggywuggy.
My heart is still racing. Those Huggy Wuggy jumpscares man...

@richygarcia84 The popularity of FNAF among kids blows my mind. I totally didn’t expect it to endure this last ten years and become a mostly kids thing! I thought it would stay a novelty game youtubers played, but we have all these novelizations in our YA collections at work and they circulate quite a bit!
@emmyjemmyjammy The YTers my niece watches utilizes Freddy, Bonnie, Chika, Foxy as antagonists in their videos. My niece really likes watching YTers go nuts when the Among Us beans fight the FNAF animatronics. It is weird, odd kids' entertainment.
The [FNAF] books make no sense and draw some inspiration from the games. I too am blown away that kiddos are sucked into the FNAF book lore. Its like Unsolved Mysteries but with FNAF & for kids. * shrugs *
