#Blerdcon was incredible! We went to so many panels, and saw so many cosplayers, and I bought so many keychains!

Just came back from #blerdcon with my wife and daughter. Expensive to get in, but the experience with my daughter was worth it. She got to see people who looked like her love cartoons, anime, and the like.

Representation is so important. Yes in the stuff we see in media, but in this case, just liking the things we like at home. She was able to talk with them, take pictures, and interact.

It feels so good to know that in a community, you aren't alone.

I want to attend #Blerdcon someday, preferably when there isn't a global pandemic. I had the opportunity to speak with some of the organisers face-to-face in 2017 or 2018. They're nice people, passionate about the con.
