My April article for @forbes has a distinctly NZ flavour. It's about a new study that uses satellite radar imagery to measure land movement in NZ's coastal cities - the bad news is, in many places, it is sinking. I spoke to the lead author of the study forbes.com/sites/lauriewinkles

Hello everyone!
I received a message through my online radio from a Ukrainian inventor looking for media support:

“I’ve developed several innovations in ICE and transmissions:
– Two-level piston engine
– Hydro-variators
– Innovative cooling system
Estimated fuel savings: ~50%.”

Inventor: Serhiy Chernyshov

Please help spread the word — maybe someone will be interested or able to offer media support.

so building spacecraft is great and all, except for when you've got 2 weeks of TVAC testing* coming up and they ask you and 6 other people "could you list which 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts you'd be available for until August?"

*Thermal vacuum testing is when you put the spacecraft in a vacuum chamber and heat/cool it for environmental testing. Notably needs to be babysat 24/7, so 7 people means you're going to have a lot of evening, overnight, and weekend shifts.

A not inconsiderable amount of time each day goes in to counting M2 x 6 mm cap head Allen bolts in to groups of 6. Does anyone know of a way to automate or make this easier? Happy to build something.
