My 67th most-played album of all time is "Low To The Ground" by The Waxwings, released in 2000. It's a wonderful #powerpop album with beautiful harmonies. I love the 9-minute closer, "It Comes In Waves."

An EXCELLENT compilation of #newwave #powerpop #postpunk & garage.
As soon as I saw that The Celibate Rifles were on it, I knew it would be pretty stellar.
The opening track, “Beautiful Waste” by The Triffids is a perfect song to get this thing going.
Lighthouse Keepers, Wet Taxis, Mushroom Planet, Coloured Stone… just tons of great obscure gems on here.

Absolutely gorgeous—that opening riff still gives me chills.

A bit of an obscure one, but a real gem.
Really well-produced #80s #powerpop . Catchy as fuck, and really short (only 6 songs), but every song is great.
I listen to this a lot when winter starts to wane, & the Spring weather starts up.
“I Don’t See Her Anymore” is a KILLER gem of a song, as is “White Lies”.
These guys could have been Plimsouls level big, but they lacked their own “A Million Miles Away”.
