#WoLQoTD
What's the meanest thing your WoL has ever done?

Maybe not meanest. But Rav, after having decimated an entire army wing of Garlean soldiers stops before one of the last ones, his arms shaking as he raises a gun at her.

She swats it aside and trips him, sending him sprawling into the snow then leans over him, grinning with eyes bright. She looks over her shoulder at a field of dead soldiers and smoking wrecks.

"You aren't even worth killing. Not now. Not ever."

#WoLQoTD #QoTD "How does your Warrior of Light feel about caffeine? Do they consume coffee? Tea? Other stimulating drinks?

Rav being a dedicated culinarian is happy to consume tea and coffee in many forms regularly, but she doesn't need it. Caffeine doesn't really affect her at those doses.

Once Thancred gave her a Red Bull though and that was horrible for everyone else.

Last time Mina cried, it was when Venat was about to disappear. She answered the ancient's question with much difficulty, recounting the days of her struggle with those around her, and thanking her for all the guidance and wisdom that Venat had provided throughout those moments.

X (formerly Twitter)Ikumi Yamoshi 📚Wolqotd Enthusiast📚 (@MOONPETALS_) on X#wolquestion / #wolqotd When was the last time your wol cried? Was it important, or over something on a smaller scale? Did they seek anyone out, or did they cry alone?

Mina is unsurprisngly not really into competitions, preferring to watch rather than the one being watched. So much so that she would sometimes get non-verbal and let the others speak for her.

She does, however make some exceptions, such us Nadaam / other important matters that need her to actually win.

X (formerly Twitter)Ikumi Yamoshi 📚Wolqotd Enthusiast📚 (@MOONPETALS_) on X#wolquestion / #wolqotd Is your WoL competitive? Do they often find themselves wanting to be number one at the challenges they take on? Or are they content being second place / near the bottom?

When Mina was already on her lowest during the events of Heavensward, she started looking up to Stephanivien after deciding to train herself to be a machinist as a distraction.

Her admiration of his endless positivity despite all odds is what helped her to push forward despite the grief of losing those important to her.

X (formerly Twitter)Ikumi Yamoshi 📚Wolqotd Enthusiast📚 (@MOONPETALS_) on X#wolquestion / #wolqotd How did your WoL ship(s) meet each other? Were they perhaps in love from the start, or did they not care for each other at first?

Rav is 6'6", or 199 cm (before ears). She also weighs around 155kg, and a lot of that mass comes from the density of her bones and muscles, one of the reasons she's terrifying to fight against.

"What's a wild physical fact about your WoL?"

Pumpkinway on the Birdsite asked: Does your WoL pay taxes? Why? How?

My response:
Yes. Rav has a chest of gil in Ishgard, Limsa, and Gridania. Each nation sends a rep as necessary to take the exact amount from it.

No one else ever messes with the chest, even though it's out.

It's a real Vlad the Impaler type of situation. No one would steal from the WoD.

The question:

Non-wol question, really - what's your non-wol/non-Azem's Ancient like? Where did they work? What did they do? Have you thought about it at all, or simply ignore the whole Ancients thing if they aren't Azem?

My answer:

#Joan is the #Source shard of #Aphrodite, the Ancient who sat on the Seat of #Deudalaphon in during the #Sundering. Another of her shards, ascended as an #Ascian by Emet-Selch, serves as Deudalaphon in the present day.

Deudalaphon's main role was to craft and modify as needed the social norms that all #Ancients would follow, including designing the robes and masks that all Ancients had to wear to ensure uniformity among their population, thereby allowing the Ancients to focus on intellectual pursuits instead of on fanciful fashion statements.

Aphrodite had two children, #Deimos and #Phobos, with her husband #Ares. Ares was a military leader among the Ancients, and while he was away from #Amaurot, Aphrodite pursued an ongoing extramarital affair with #Hephaestus, the Ancient who later became the #unsundered Ascian #Lahabrea.

When #Venat retired from her role as #Azem, Aphrodite put a great deal of effort into getting Deimos appointed to the Seat of Azem. Emet-Selch ultimately put his vote towards Venat's student, a close friend of his, leading Aphrodite to develop a deep resentment towards both Venat and her young student, and she has held this grudge against #Hydaelyn and Azem for eons.

The question:

what is your wol/non-wol's 'this was a mistake i made, but if i could go back and do it again, i wouldn't change a thing' mistake? what's that one moment they know changed their lives, even if it cost them something great?

My answer:

Nearly three years ago, an #Ascian killed #Joan's best friend. Joan asked the #Elementals to give her the power to take revenge, and they taught her how to magically rip out her own heart, thereby turning her into the #dark #god of vengeance Ose Ul.

During this time, lacking any concerns about future consequences, she failed to continue using her usual contraceptive herb baggies, and she wound up having sex with a slaver. She became pregnant with his children and bore the magical twins #Noah and #Lillian.

She lost family and friends, and she lost the trust of those she'd become closest to, but she wouldn't take her babies back for anything in the world.

#wolqotd What would your WoL work as in a modern setting?

- - - - -

Rav is an incredibly dangerous freelance mob assassin that is so feared no one tries to take her out.

She also owns a cafe and they make great croissants and post on social media.

I started playing during the pandemic when it became apparent that my IRL friends weren't interested/coming back to WoW.

QT: #wolqotd

While not so much about your WoL, I’m curious how many of you have had your life changed for the better by this game? It helped me recover from a deep depression, made me appreciate life again and helped me meet the love of my life. What has FFXIV done for you all?
