It looks like Knockout City is shutting down on June 6, but the devs are going to release private server software so that people can continue to play the game. I wish more devs would do that sort of thing, if only for preservation’s sake. #GamePreservation #videogames https://www.knockoutcity.com/updates/knockout-city-special-announcement
@Garad ahhh Knockout City! That's great the servers will still be open. I play this game all the time with my nephew, it's a a good game! I was a bit sad when Starblood Arena shut it's servers on PS4 a whole back, as it was my favourite PSVR game.
@musicvsartstuff I played it obsessively for a bit after it came out, then eventually moved on. I’m glad it will still be playable in some form.
@Garad me too! So the online servers will definitely remain open?
@musicvsartstuff Details are pretty sparse, but their FAQ makes it sound like they’ll be releasing a new version of the game on PC that you’ll be required to use. It sounds you’ll use it to host a game and other people can then join.
@Garad awesome, thanks bud!
@Garad I was super happy to see they’re allowing folks to host it into the future.
One day, The Secret Legends is going to go offline, and I really hope the devs of that game follow this example. There are some really unique online games I’d hate to lose.
