I modelled the whole enclosure for the face mechanism, the in-game version is made of sheet metal, but this one will probably work fine for my wall mounted ornamental version of the thing.
I really need to look into FreeCAD's sheet metal workbench thing, this wouldn't probably be too hard to do out of metal after some lasering.
I also really need to learn the Assembly workbench that came with the 1.0. There's so many mechanical things I'd need to try out before printing.
@apzpins The sheet metal workbench is not super hard to learn, and it's flexible. If you put radiuses for bends into your existing designs, you can "unfold" without starting over. Or you can design the whole thing using sheet metal workbench knowing the material you are going to fold.
The built-in Assembly is still a bit limited compared to Assembly3 and Assembly4, but a lot of the simplifications work really well. My initial impression was that I'd need more joint types, and then I realized that actually no I mostly don't. I haven't figured out yet how best to use it with the Fasteners workbench.
@mcdanlj I'll definitely look into the sheet metal bench in the close future, this project I'm working on needs a metal enclosure and I could see myself making a small batch of them for other hobbyists.
What comes to the Assembly, from what I've seen on Youtube videos of the 1.0's integrated one, it'll do for the relatively simple projects I make.
