@aroneva Hi and welcome!
@aroneva
Have you checked out #ShadowsOfDoubt from a detective video game point of view?
Noticed #SecretHitler in your bio - I'm also quite a fan.
@bobdendry It's actually on the wishlist and I will see if I get around to it.
I understood from a steam review that the AI is a bit wonky or basic, and I was wondering if it affects the gameplay a lot. Have you played it?
Edit: Checked the hashtag and you have played it.
@aroneva
Yeah, I find it pretty fun. I find the AI reasonably decent (obviously it's an Early Access game so grain of salt required). The most frustrating part I think I found was some things not quite generating properly during the generation of the map (ie a building with security cameras but not security room). There's been a few updates since I started my game though so this may have improved.
@aroneva
I play a lot of TTRPG and boardgames, especially cooperative games.
Welcome aboard!
@ThePsyOfLife Thanks! I hope to play more of those in the future as well.
It's been pretty quiet on #DnD front, but it's good to take a break sometimes.
@aroneva
I've taken breaks over the years. For whatever reason it really triggers my OCD, so I'm either all in or none at all.
@aroneva Welcome! I hope you have a nice time here, and that’s a great list of games you enjoy or are playing!
TotK has absorbed my life for the past month and a half, definitely relatable there!
One game on that list I’m curious about is #DiscoElysium: I’ve heard fantastic things about it and it’s currently on sale. Considering getting it! It sounds cool but trippy. What about it do you enjoy (without spoiling too much of course)? I’d like to hear some perspective!
@ProfWaffles Thank you! #DiscoElysium can surely be a trip. The narrative and story is interesting.
The skill system is also cool, and by design you can't have it all. Choose the skills you want to level up. They have an actual effect on how the game progresses.
@aroneva Ok neat! Maybe I’ll check it out sometime, although I have so many games recently I think I’ll wait until the inevitable autumn sale haha. Thanks for the explanation!
@aroneva @ProfWaffles I can’t praise Disco Elysium enough! I love that game with all my heart. Truly one of my favourite games of all time. Deep, poetic, funny, heart-wrenching at times. Such an experience. Highly recommended.
