There’s honestly only a handful of games where the music immediately takes me right back there, games I wish I could forget and experience for the first time again and again and again.

Outer Wilds is one of those games.

The main theme tune from it evokes so many memories, I find it hard not to well up a bit at the beauty of it all.

Let me know what your favourite game music is, and where does it take you.

@Sobtanian I listened to that Outer Wilds soundtrack whilst falling asleep last night. It's one of my favourite bits of music ever.

As for the question, I'll throw out Return of the Obra Dinn.

The music is frankly phenomenal. Even more so when you consider it was created by one guy who's not a composer or anything.

@danielholt the music of Obra Dinn is as phenomenal as the game.

A bonafide classic.

I still maintain that the jingle you hear when you get 3 predictions right is one of the sweetest dopamin hits, ever.

Outer Wilds and Obra Dinn are probably my go-to answers when it comes to the question of 'Games you'd like to experience for the first time again'.

A large part of that is the music and general audio aspects of the game which are just fantastic. Can't fault them.

I'm not a vinyl guy, but I've considered getting the vinyl for both and framing them, that's how strongly I feel about this.

@danielholt I *am* a vinyl guy and I didn’t even know there were vinyls for them both!

*goes off investigating*

Journey is another one for me by the way. That I do have the vinyl for.

@danielholt I thank you for pointing out that the vinyl existed.

I got this and Echoes on vinyl.

So good.
