I’m getting ready to move in 6-8 weeks after living in my apartment for ten years and it’s wild to see what you can find stored away (PS Vita games! A Kinect! A $50 eShop gift card from the Wii U era!) I’ll keep some, trade others, and donate the rest.
Anyway, I found an Ouya buried in a dusty storage bin and that’s going to e-waste where it belongs…where it always belonged.
Context: I was a Kickstarter backer of Ouya back when it first came out, and although I was optimistic about it back in 2013, it did…not pan out.
I haven’t revisited this episode lately but it’d be interesting to hear what I had to say a decade ago: http://gamebuoy.org/episode-32/
It’s pretty telling that this episode was recorded literally right before I moved into this apartment, and has been sitting in a storage bin for the past ten years
@slaggymcwaggy I always wanted one just to use as a dedicated emulator box or install the Android version of GTA San Andreas.
@UncannyKyle Sadly it didn’t even emulate very well
@slaggymcwaggy imagine how great it would have been if the Ouya had delivered on any of its promises (I was never able to get mine to even acceptably perform as a decent EmuBox, and everything I read online was basically like “expect rough performance” lol)
