Americans of #Japanese descent have already been incarcerated w/o due process. This time, I don't plan to submit quietly to be shipped off to a #concentrationcamp without a fight.

Today in Labor History February 28, 1933: Erich Mühsam, was arrested and blamed for the Reichstag fire. The fire was actually set by Marinus van der Lubbe, a Dutch council communist.
Mühsam was sent to the Oranienberg concentration camp, where he was tortured and murdered. Mühsam was an anarchist, poet and playwright who condemned Nazism and satirized Hitler. In the wake of the fire, President von Hindenburg issued the Reichstag Fire Decree, suspending civil liberties, and launching a "ruthless confrontation" with the Communists, making the fire pivotal in the establishment of Nazi Germany. They went on a witch hunt, mass-arresting Communists, including members of Parliament, crippling their participation in the March 5th special elections, which allowed the Nazi party to expand their plurality in parliament. Hitler had called in hopes of moving the Nazi party from a plurality to a majority through quasi-legal means. Sound familiar?

Liberated in 1945, Nassy passed away in 1976
This is its backstory: "On 17 September 1944, a satellite camp of #Neuengamme #ConcentrationCamp was set up on Alter Banter Weg in #Wilhelmshaven. The more than 1,000 male prisoners, who had been selected in the main camp, had to carry out hard labour for the Kriegsmarine shipyard and clean-up work. Some of the barracks in a forced labour camp had previously been fenced in with barbed wire and surrounded by watchtowers.
Without a day off, the prisoners had to work twelve hours a day with completely inadequate food and constant beatings and harassment. The death rate rose rapidly. Just a few weeks after the arrival of the concentration camp prisoners, the city administration was ordered by the navy to provide additional burial areas at the Aldenburg cemetery. The Neuengamme concentration camp death register for the satellite camp in Wilhelmshaven recorded 234 deaths. The actual number of dead was probably higher and is estimated at a maximum of 700."

…The operation will require a surge of staff & goods to the isolated base, which is behind a Cuban minefield & is entirely dependent on air & sea supply missions from the United States.

Trump's announcement to use Guantanamo Bay to hold up to 30,000 undocumented person as a concentration camp made the rounds this week, but I've heard little about the military allowing ICE to operate at Buckley Space Force Base as a detention center.
