First game I finish this March: #Earthbound Beginnings for the #Nintendo Entertainment System #NES. I didn't enjoy this game properly, with having to move out and everything, I was playing it a couple of hours a week and relying a ton on walkthroughs — 'cause I forget quite easily — in fact, I hadn't relied on walkthroughs this much in ages...
Regardless of all that I think this is a very solid #JRPG.
The setup is a bit janky, with a lot of analog to HDMI cables all mixed together, but being able to stream and play games on my childhood Symphonic TV VHS combo brings me so much joy

Attempted to recreate Ness's sprite in a 32x32x48 cube. The 48 limit didn't leave me enough room to finish the legs.
Rendered in Marching Cube, Voxel, and Lego styles.
Going to attempt a different style of humanoid design with the same dimensions shortly.

My #retrogaming hot take is that while the writing of #Earthbound is superb, it suffers from having maze after maze after maze after maze. Every maze is an exercise in sanity because you are also too weak to make it far in the maze you just make baby steps until you can beat that maze and immediately every enemy in the maze is afraid of you. It's pretty frustrating to be honest.
Years ago I heard Citizens of Earth was a good game like EarthBound kinda so I decided to try it since it was part of a Sega-Atlus bundle, but I've played less than 45 minutes of it and tried again recently but there's just too much graphically going on that it's really overstimulating. Never made it out of the beginning town.
I think ALL? "rare" enemies in #Earthbound are just single spawn locations in out of the way areas, running back and forth in the right spot will spawn them without fail in minutes actually.
Rare DROPS are entirely different enjoy the 1/128 drop rate haha
Sometimes, I need to stop talking to my adopted online goblin daughter about craft stuff.
I am a very impressionable adult who is very likely to pick up craft ideas, and I am likely to throw money at things like this if I am not careful.

Another randomizer run done! Finished the PK Scramble seed with just shy of 6 hours worth of gameplay! Next time, I will remember to use the toothbrush.

Made some more progress in PK Scramble, unlocked more locations, got the epic stat boosts, and duplicate key items! Next week: Onett, Winters, and stuff!
"Use it in your human civilization class!" Sure, a Yogurt dispenser would really come in handy for that!
