Slightly concerning primary school memories from the 80s.
* Our school had an incinerator. Like, they just burnt rubbish while children were learning stuff.
* In grade 7 our teacher brought in mercury so we could play with it. We would push it around our desktops with our fingers. "Learning"!
* The same teacher taught us how to use BIC lighters and light matches. For survival, I guess.
* In the playground were 5 metre tall climbing poles with tyres bolted to them. There was no soft material on the ground.
The 2024 collaboration project is gonna be #citizen #documentarian project to gather and package products of #knowledge.

#ImNotSayingImOldBut I remember the brief era between Blackberries and smartphones when, for a lot of money, you could buy a cell phone with a little slide-out keyboard with actual buttons. It could connect to the internet, but doing so cost 25 cents a minute, the screen was tiny and all websites were only built for desktop views, and there were no apps.
I also remember the first ads for Android smartphones.
#ImNotSayingImOldBut when I was a kid, a fun thing to do on a Friday night was go to Blockbuster and rent a couple of VHS tapes to watch over the weekend

#ImNotSayingImOldBut I casually mentioned $6 happy hour specials to someone I know who's Gen Z (and like me is #CovidCautious), and they looked shocked.
"You remember, before the pandemic," I said.
They shook their head and said, "I turned 21 after the pandemic started. I've never been to a happy hour."
After a bit of an awkward pause, they asked, "Was it nice, being able to go out for drinks for cheap without worrying about covid?"
I replied, "Yeah, it was nice. Things weren't perfect and a lot of the problems we have now were festering, but in the moment, it was nice."

Netflix made me a #kpop fan by suggesting I watch a #kdrama sometime in late 2012... after a few dramas I did some googling and realized that these actors were all singers too... and it all went downhill from there. I've been ARMY since debut era and am heavily multifandom leaning mostly towards boy groups.

This is my answer to getting older and having to eat more leafy greens. Every day, I put a pile of lettuce on my cutting board, and I grab a handful each time I walk by until it's gone. Then, I don't have to bother with making salads all the time, and I can cook how I want! Bonus: you kinda feel like you're getting a snack every time.
Me and my ice pack, Tylenol and weighted blanket are going to cuddle into bed at 8:15 PM like a proper #ElderMillennial.
