Mind over Magnet

For those that don't know, is the game from the man that makes videos on YouTube.

Over the last two and a bit years he's been starting from scratch and making a videogame, whilst documenting the process.

So don't expect the second coming of Braid here, but I think it's worth playing if you're interested in development and what not.

And as per everything with regards to , the attached video series is absolutely worth your time.

Finished . I can see some of the complaints regarding overall difficulty and length of experience, but I can't say those two specific things bothered me all that much.

I love shorter experiences, and these sorts of games have a tendency to go on for longer than I'd like, so a briefer experience is more preferred, atleast for me.

All in all, it's a solid first effort that I don't regret playing.

Interesting core mechanic, fun movement, nice soundtrack; I'm happy.

3/5.

D#4 (2024-06-06) #MindOverMagnet #demo

Another Steam #NextFest demo that I'm actually playing in a timely manner.

This one's about a little robot that needs to solve environmental puzzles to get out of some sort of underground facility, and quickly forms a team with a friendly magnet named Magnus.

Fun, and some of the puzzles later on in the demo do get a bit tricky and ask you to think a few steps ahead.
