Popular Ohio train-themed attraction to close after 16 years.
If you are in the area, this might be the last time to see it at Christmastime.
EnterTRAINment Junction is an indoor model railroad display located in West Chester, Ohio, just north of #Cincinnati, near Kings Island. This 25,000 square foot (2,300 square metres) display consists of over 90 G-scale trains encompassing the early era of American railroading, the middle era, and the modern era. #Ohio #modeltrain

Not the same thing, and I'm not sure if apps support it, but on the web interface (at least on my instance, so many variables) when you start typing a hashtag, an auto complete list pops up with a number of uses, which helps find more active versions. Like #modeltrain has nine uses, and #modeltrains only five. But that number, again, might be only on my instance. Still, it's a useful guide, like a poll of use.

I added the track first and then built the platform to be as close as possible to the train.
Mind the gap.
I tried a helix on my #Lego #ModelTrain but I don't have enough Legos to do it properly and the grade is too steep, and the locomotive skips the rails. I think I'll have to do it on a straight section, and I probably need to get some more used Legos from eBay. Isn't there a Lego kit to raise the train off the floor?
I'm trying to get over two steps.
I toned down the #Lego #ModelTrain layout this year. Only two loop backs (balloon tracks) and one figure 8 crossover. And only one run around track at one of the yards. There are several industrial spurs though so I can run it more or less like a prototypical short line. I've got two engines and nine cars.
Maybe later I'll get feisty and build a helix to climb the two steps to break the Lego train free of the living room

Are there any #ModelTrain enthusiasts here on Fedi?
I want to make a simple Lionel display for Grinchmas but I’m starting from scratch for this hobby and would love tips/advice
Boosts appreciated
Got to show off the #NScale tornado scene I worked on at a #ModelTrain show a couple months back!
The tornado comes down from the clouds and touches down in the town before it goes back up... leaving the nearby trailer park untouched.
It was a huge hit and I'm excited to have gotten it working for the show!
More angles of the large N-gauge train display base.
I used this piece to practice using a fine polymer line for the telegraph wires connecting the poles.
You can just about see them in some angles.
A long shot, but here goes;
I once made this diorama (photo 1) w/ #Wolverine, when I showed it on Reddit, someone replied that they remembered an old magazine with a very similar diorama on the cover. It was this magazine: Modeler's Resource issue #56. I would love to read the article, but I can't find it anywhere.
Does anyone have the magazine and can you scan the article for me?
Boosts are appreciated!
