As a simple follow-up, as well as a request, I have NOT found a suitable scratch for the itch of the communities on #Reddit. I know, I know, the "communities" are mostly independent of each other as "subreddits," but I miss those subreddits in a major way. I follow the hashtags, but they're not nearly as active as the alien site. But I'm open to suggestions that are on the #Fediverse. Here are the ones I'm interested in:

#StardewValley #OpenTTD ##Dachshund #DungeonWorld #HistoricalWhatIf

This is something I posted today on a #reddit thread about #autism and which countries have “levels” of assessment, in response to a poster who predicts the “levels” measurement will be abandoned soon:

“I hope instead of “levels” they expand on the “spectrum” theme by making the new measurement “colors”.

Using colors instead of numbers helps discourage value & judgement between “levels”.

I imagine I would be “Teal” with “Indigo” days.

… and I always tell everyone over there that they should join #mastodon and follow #ActuallyAutistic !

A few months back, I simplified my social media presence from Facebook, Nextdoor, Mastodon, and Reddit to just the last two. I briefly brought back Nextdoor to try and sell a furniture item locally, and then deleted it straightaway.

I'm seriously thinking of dropping Reddit. The timeline stresses me out quite a bit, since I can't seem to find filtering capabilities ala Mastodon. Also it is not nearly a friendly place overall like here.

There are a few "communities" (subreddits) that I'd miss, but I think what we have here may be quite satisfactory.

#PieFed (Fediverse Reddit equivalent) now supports private voting on posts. Up and down votes are kept private, even from other Fediverse applications where they normally aren't private.

All PieFed accounts now have an anonymous second account associated with them that can be used only for voting. It's an account level option that any PieFed account can enable/disable. My understanding is that votes in #Lemmy and #MBIN are always public.

A PieFed developer explains it here: piefed.social/post/205362
