If you're like me and exhausted with #modern #gaming, just go back to a couple of your favorites! They'll always be the old reliables to bring you enjoyment in this scuffed realm.
Which for me, is just another excuse to play Suggoi! #ArcanaHeart 2 for the umpeenthbillionth time.
But... god damn, moments like this are the most consistently satisfying goddamn things in the world.
All of this with the #8bitdo NeoGeo CD pad, on my first try (without continues)! That should really say something.
@ThatOneSeong I used to feel I was wasting my time playing the same thing for the 1000th time when I had a backlog of games I hadnt played yet. But I came around to the idea that old, familiar games are like soup. Or comfort food. Or a nice blanket.
@rhsjjack Depends on the game, tbh! If it's an RPG or something, unless it's like a really solid one that perfectly matches my vibes, it's going to have a limited shelf life for me - at least within the year I finish it.
But there's plenty of comfort food games that are just fun to go back to whenever even if it's just to putz around for a bit - whether that be an arcade game, classic platformer, or Minecraft/Terraria. Doesn't always have to be the new hotness every week - and I prefer that tbh.
