At work thinking about what would make Red Dead Redemption 2 a better game. One of those things would be not restricting Manual Saves during missions! I always reach a point where I’m done in a mission but can’t leave until a mission is finished. It’s gotten to the point where I avoid missions which will interfere with my ability to save and quit; unless I am certain that I want to continue playing.
@WanderingInDigitalWorlds When I finished the single player (which I loved) I tried the multiplayer with others and I didn't like that at all.
I think the single, and to some extent, multi, could have been an amazing experience if it was set up as a survival game. If the mechanics of eating/sleeping/staying warm etc were balanced to not be a chore/boring, RDR2 could've been a real classic.
@Strider Yeah, the survival aspects are less challenging but it’s not too bad as I always carry outfits for the different temp ranges of weather on my horse. I think the Bounty System is quite shitty, as I could follow the instructions to the letter in regards to avoiding a hefty bounty. Somehow, I still get one. Right now, Arthur has a $295.00 dollar bounty on his head.
Self indulgent, unskippable skinning sequences are another annoyance holding this game back.
