Williams' 1992 Fish Tales is one of my all time favorite pins. It's also from the time when the multiball locks were getting more and more elaborate, to a point where the lock mechanism was the main star and toy of the game. I was reminded of its awesomeness while editing the upcoming video about ball locks in general.
Also enjoy the killer FM synth rendition of the Orange Blossom Special, that serves as the game's main tune!
@apzpins Great game and you didn't even mention the iconic flapping fish!
@thomasbeagle I think I made an earlier post about making the topper out of scratch for this one. Someone had stolen it and it was my 2nd Fish Tales not to have the topper, so I had to do something about it!
@apzpins great video, I've only played this table in #PinballFX3 I hope some day to play the real thing
@arthur Pinball FX's version is pretty faithful, but naturally not the real thing.
@apzpins I don’t know anything about pinball games but I played this one just recently! My local pinball hall has it.
@jardo even at 30 years old, it's still super popular in arcades. A testament to Williams' genius designers and good hardware.
@apzpins This is the content I'm here for.
@frigginglorious Glad to hear it, as there's plenty more from where that came from
@apzpins@mstdn.games God I love pinball machines. They're just wonderful and satisfying and I will gladly feed an Addams Family or Rudy's Funhouse my entire paycheck.
@josh Ditto! And somehow they've just been materialising into my hobby space; 31 and counting
