Does the very first batch of Atari ST have the type of keyboard which has million springs jump out if you take the keyboard backplate screws out?

I have one with a broken esc-key and I'm wondering what approach to take to repair it. The key has physically snapped the cross-shaped thing that holds the keycap in place.

EDIT: I'm starting to think it was those rubber pads that can fall out, it's been around 40 years since I saw that to happen, but I haven't opened an ST keyboard after watching my dad fumble it and spread what I assumed to be springs all over the floor.

@apzpins I don't know of any variants with "springs", only with rubber bouncy pads like on this page atari-forum.com/viewtopic.php?

I did replace broken white stems with ones from polyplay.xyz, but they are out of stock. polyplay.xyz/Keycap-Stem-Atari

@tattlemuss May have been some other thing then, I remember dad taking apart some home computer's keyboard and much to our surpise it had a lot of springs inside.

I think the plastic part looks simple enough to print.

@apzpins I might be wrong. The Mega ST had proper switches.

tbh the rubber things will also immediately fall out and shower the floor, so it's not much of an improvement.

@tattlemuss I only remember my dad taking it apart and something jumped out. Dad said some bad words.
