A few clips from a game jam project, where I attempted to recreate the Itano circus, or "missile circus" in a spaceship game.
Basically, these are a bunch of intentionally wonky homing missiles with trails, so visually it sometimes comes close to the barrages of missiles we see in anime like Macross. (i.e. 90% of the shots don't hit but explode next to their target)
The controls were really horrible though.

Which gamejam did you make this for, and do you have a link to this that you feel like sharing?
@pineboxgames It was a local thing at our university, no particular theme or anything. Our team was three people, over the course of two weeks.
You could pick one out of three random upgrades after defeating a wave of enemies, had a bunch of weapons etc... but the controls were "realistic" (aka horrible) because you'd be fighting inertia most of the time. So you're not missing anything by not playing it ;p
