Perhaps Disney should have leaned into doing an *Into the Spiderverse* and embraced these alternate tales on the base story: arguably Disney itself has taken the base story and created their own variant which is fixed and powerful due to not being an oral legend.
A fun addition would be “Dust Red and the Seven Martians” as a futuristic variant that could evolve in a theoretical interplanetary world.
