@COMPU73E ooh nice! the movie was made just before Ghost in the Shell with the same team and you can really tell.
@anarchaeopteryx I did see Mamoru Oshii mentioned on the front of the DVD cases. Thanks I'm looking forward to it more now 
@COMPU73E The second Patlabor movie is also Oshii but I prefer the first one. The third movie is a different team and not the greatest but I guess worth picking up if you really like this set. Another Kenji Kawai soundtrack to look forward to as well. The tv anime is a lot more light hearted than SAC from what I remember but it's been a while.
@anarchaeopteryx ha, this always happens with manga and anime, lol. I'll start watching something and then find out there's another 5 films, multiple TV series', soundtracks, etc 
@COMPU73E light novels, anime, manga, movies, OVA, soundtracks, figures, clothes, pop-up theme cafés, Collectors edition Blu rays, video games, stage musicals, radio shows... yep, easy to build an entire life around a single franchise, if it's big enough.
