@casstr@mstdn.gamesRight okay I have been really thinking about setting up a wee blog kind of a website. I like the look of Bear but being charged a monthly sub just to have a custom domain really pisses me off. Thinking about Hugo with, uh, Netlify, which should be free(?) - any other alternatives/experiences?
@casstr I prefer Cloudflare Pages, they offer unlimited bandwidth for static assets. There are stories going round the Internet of Netlify surprise charging customers for exceeding bandwidth limits.
@casstr No idea how likely said stories are so take with a grain of salt. Probably a small static site will be fine, but I didn't like the idea of putting my life savings next to a "probably"
