Here's what we played last month! Feels like we played more games, but I log pretty meticulously, so it must be right.

It was spooky month, so we played a couple games of #Betrayal. Always a good time!

It was good to see #ZombieDice hit the table. One of the best push your luck games around.

For some reason, everyone in my gaming group loves #Horrified. It's fine I guess, but it gets old real fast. No turn ever feels very exciting. The mini puzzles of the different monsters are annoying, and the font is too small. I just don't like it. But It's just a couple times a year, so I'll stop complaining and just enjoy the company.

Finally picked up #CastlesofTuscany. Pretty fun game. Nowhere near as satisfying as #castlesofburgundy, but it does some interesting things. And does it quickly.

Played #PowerGrid for the first time. Didn't care for it. May have been more fun if everyone else didn't already have it mastered.

My daughter wanted to play a board game last night, so I pulled out Horrified: American Monsters. I bought it mainly because I wanted to paint the cryptid minis, and wasn't sure if the rules would be simple enough for her. (She's seven)

After a bit of reading and explaining, she was doing great! She's at a point where some of the game text is challenging to read, but it's a good motivator to try. We even got in some fun collaborative problem solving.

By the end we were discussing how one of the character's special powers was a bit overpowered! She's going to be correcting me on game rules in no time at all. Which is good, because my capacity for complex rules feels like it's on the decline 😂
