Recommendations for a first RPG for a 9 year old? She likes fantasy and reading, so I think she'd like RPGs, but she also (1) likes games very easy, (2) dislikes pixel art, and (3) dislikes being forced to be male.
I'm thinking either Pokemon Shinning Pearl or Destiny Connect: Tick Tock Travelers.

@OutofPrintArchive @scribblemacher nice! I got the super edition with the dragon king plushie and jigsaw. To my shame I didn't actually finish the game, but I adored the characters and art style, and the Japanese narration was some serious ASMR

Watched some more Void Terrarium and it looks incredible.
Super hyped about Labyrinth of Refrain as well.
@OutofPrintArchive @COMPU73E interesting rec. Looks like a depressing take of Super Mario RPG. Probably not a good first RPG, but it can have a place in my dekudeals list!
