Recommendations for a first RPG for a 9 year old? She likes fantasy and reading, so I think she'd like RPGs, but she also (1) likes games very easy, (2) dislikes pixel art, and (3) dislikes being forced to be male.
I'm thinking either Pokemon Shinning Pearl or Destiny Connect: Tick Tock Travelers.
@scribblemacher Pokemon Let's Go Pikachu/Eevee would also work, they're easier and more intended as an introduction to Pokemon for kids, have fun features like Pokemon roaming the overworld, and look less like a direct translation from pixel art to chibi 3D.
@arnelson thanks! I actually thought the Lets Go games were a spin offs that didn't have monster catching and stuff. Looking at some reviews, this is probably exactly what I was looking for.
