Recommendations for a first RPG for a 9 year old? She likes fantasy and reading, so I think she'd like RPGs, but she also (1) likes games very easy, (2) dislikes pixel art, and (3) dislikes being forced to be male.

I'm thinking either Pokemon Shinning Pearl or Destiny Connect: Tick Tock Travelers.

@scribblemacher Pokémon is a great choice! The Monster Hunter Stories games might be interesting as well. My friends have spoken highly of them and they seemed neat the bits I’ve watched of them play.
